Summary:

A beautiful Slovak girl from a rural area reluctantly marries a German antiques restorer 30 years her senior. The relationship seems doomed, but gradually the two outsiders discover each other's inner core, because they share a painful past. Though they begin their relationship in silence, they gradually learn to speak a common language. Fear turns to passion and the outer edges of love, money and acceptance are exposed.
